Classes temporarily suspended in 5 schools, one college in M’luru due to Covid spike

Mangaluru: Owing to a spurt of Covid 19 cases, five schools and a college in Dakshina Kannada district have been directed to suspend physical classes for a week.

An order in this regard was issued by the education department. Government High school, Bengre Kasaba; Canara CBSC Dongarkere; Ansar English Medium High School, Bajpe; Vyasa Maharshi English Medium High School, Mulki; Government High School, Munchoor and Vivekananda PU College Yedapadavu are the institutes that have been ordered to suspend classes temporarily.

As per a directive from district Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra schools, colleges must temporarily suspend classes if more than five individuals are found infected in a campus.
