Mangaluru: Youth obstructs ambulance movement; gets arrested

Mangaluru: A youth in Mangaluru was reportedly arrested for obstructing the movement of an ambulance after the video of the incident went viral on social media. The audacious behavior had been severely condemned many many netizens.
Police said the car visible in the video was being driven by a person named, Monish.
The incident purportedly happened on January 19 when an ambulance was ferrying a patient from Dakshina Kannada to Bhatkal in Uttar Kannada district. The viral video showed a car blocking the path of the ambulance on the 40-kilometer stretch between Mulki and Udupi on the national highway.
Later the same car blocked another ambulance moving from Manipal towards Mangaluru.
Meanwhile, the accused has been booked under section 184 of the Indian Motor Vehicle Act (IMV) and section 279 of IPC.
