Davanagere: Elderly couple found brutally murdered

Davanagere: An elderly couple was found barbarically murdered at Elabethur Village here on Tuesday, January 25.

The deceased have been identified as Gurusiddaiah (80), and his wife Sarojamma (75). It is suspected that the murder took place late at night on Monday.

The victims lived alone in the house. The couple’s 3 daughters live separately, with their families.

As per Davanagere rural police, the perpetrators broke into the house the couple lived in and fled after the murder.

The crime came to light after a neighbor came to visit Sarojamma on Tuesday morning.

A team of the canine squad and forensic experts conducted an inspection of the site. Investigations are ongoing.
