Mangaluru: Youth loses life while trying to save drowning girlfriend

Mangaluru: In a tragic incident a 20-year-old man lost his life while trying to rescue a his girlfriend who was trying to commit suicide after a fight with her boyfriend.

The deceased is Lloyd D’Souza, a resident of Uliya in Munnur village

The incident happened at Someshwar beach on Friday, January 28 evening. Ashitha Ferrao (22) from Paneeru, Kotekar, who survived the scare, is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

A case in this respect was registered in Ullal police station.
