Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which probed the CD gate case gave a clean chit to former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, by submitting B report before a city court, saying the investigation revealed no evidence against him in the sex tape case.
According to SIT officials, during the investigation they found there was no adequate evidence to prove that it was a case of sexual assault. Thus the B report has been filed before the court.
With this, there are strong chances of Jarkiholi getting re-inducted into Basavaraaj Bommai’s cabinet.
The High Court of Karnataka on February 3 permitted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to file the final report before the competent magistrate court in the alleged sex for job case against former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi had said that all the questions, including the question of competence and jurisdiction of the SIT, are open before the magistrate concerned.
The SIT had filed an application for permitting them to submit the investigation report in relation to the complaint filed by the victim woman (Crime Number 30/2021), registered with the Cubbon Park police station.
