Udupi: Students wear saffron shawls, turban to protest hijab in MGM college

A tense situation prevailed at Udupi’s MGM college on Tuesday after students turned up wearing saffron shawls, turban to register their protest against hijab in college.
The college administration barred the entry of the students into the college premises by closing its gates. However, the students are staging a protest in front of the college.
Police personnel has been deployed here to prevent any untoward incident.
