Bengaluru: Balloons supporting students wearing hijab come up in city

Bengaluru: Amid the controversy over the matter in KarnatakaSeveral pictures of balloons with notes supporting students wearing hijab in parts of Bengaluru have surfaced online.

This comes ahead of the state High Court’s hearing on the hijab case. One of the notes seen in the pictures also mentioned Article 25 of the Constitution which gives the freedom to practice religion.

Meanwhile, prohibitory orders have been imposed around all schools and colleges in the Dakshina Kannada District. On Sunday, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV issued the orders under Section 144 of CrPC as a precautionary measure.
