Hassan: Youth rapes, dumps 11-year-old girl in tank; arrested

Hassan: A youth was arrested by the city police for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl and dumping her in a tank.

The arrested is Keerthi Sagar (24). He is said to be a neighbour of the girl.

The incident took place when the girl was playing with her friends near her house. Keerthi allegedly lured the girl and took her to an isolated place and raped her.

After raping her, he tied her legs and dumped her in a tank adjacent to the village.

One of the villagers after hearing the girl scream for help rushed to the spot and rescued her. The parents then admitted her to the HIMS hospital in Hassan.
