Bengaluru: 4 students killed as car jumps divider, collides with truck on NH 75

Bengaluru Four college students, including a girl, were killed while two others sustained critical injuries in a car-truck collision on National Highway 75 in Bengaluru Rural district on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as Vaishnavi, Bharath, Siril and Venkat. The injured have been identified as Siri Krishna and Ankita Reddy.

As per the police said the driver of the car, in which the students were travelling, lost control over the vehicle, jumped the divider, and rammed into a truck coming from the other side.

The police said the accident occurred due to overspeeding.

The car was badly damaged due to the impact of the collision and police had to struggle to extricate the bodies.

Hosakote police are investigating the case.
