Hijab row: Youth JD(S) president Akshith Suvarna gets death threat

Mangaluru: Amid ongoing hijab row, Dakshina Kannada Youth Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) president Akshith Suvarna claimed that he was abused on social media and threatened for speaking to the media on the issue.

Suvarna has now approached the police commissioner seeking action against those who allegedly used abusive words against him on social media and issued him death threats.

Speaking with this regard Suvarna said that few people used abusive words to him and issued death threats on social media after he spoke to the media about the Hijab row in the state.

“I want to tell the blind followers of BJP to have a discussion with me. It is not right to issue threats on Facebook. I

I do not fear these kinds of death threats. I want to tell the blind followers of BJP to have a discussion with me instead of sending threats on Facebook,” he added.
