Bengaluru: A husband-wife duo was arrested seven years after they killed a man over an illicit relationship, police said.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Ghouse (39) and his wife Kausar alias Heena (27), residents of Rayudurg in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The couple had allegedly murdered their relative Wazir Pasha (35) on May 13, 2015, in Hegganahalli in Bengaluru and were absconding ever since.
After killing Pasha, the accused wrapped the dead body in a plastic bag, carried it in a scooter, and dumped it in a drain near Kavetinagepalli village on Hindupur Road on the same night.
The couple was arrested while they arrived to attend the funeral of a relative, police said.
