Udupi: One of the six students who were the first to oppose Udupi college’s order to remove hijab has alleged that a private TV channel barged into her home and invaded her privacy.

On February 20, the girl wrote on the Twitter account @Aliaassadi, that read ” “NIJATA”, “PRIVACY”,”ಗೌಪ್ಯತೆ” These are the words to be remembered who has media ethics. But what I’m seeing today is that most of them have forgotten the media ethics. @AsianetNewsSN has just crossed it’s limits by entering my home forcefully to harass with hidden cameras. (sic)”

She also alleged that she had been receiving “abusive calls from unknown numbers” ever since “the college leaked private details” and asked for police help.

“Since the college leaked our private details, we got abusive calls from unknown numbers at the beginning and now they’re entering homes forcefully and harrassing us. Trying all the ways to let us down. Stop this cheap works and be a gentleman” she wrote in another tweet and added “@DgpKarnataka must take action”.
