Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has asked the state government to get cabinet approval for the scheme drawn to clear the solid waste dump at Pachanady in Mangaluru.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, and Justice Suraj Govindaraj on Wednesday said that the government must get the cabinet approval at the meeting on Thursday, February 24.
Additional advocate general, Dhyan Chinnappa, who appeared on behalf of the state said that the cabinet approval will be given either on February 24 or the next Thursday.
The bench had asked the commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation to appear for the hearing as he can bring pressure on the government to quickly finish the work.
Chinnappa also said that the government has rehabilitated all those who faced issues due to the dump landslide.
