Kundapur: Youth hanging flex dies of electrocution

Kundapur: A 26-year-old youth died of electrocution while erecting a flex for the annual festival of Sowkoor temple.

The deceased has been identified as Prashant Devadiga. Another person Sridhar Devadiga, 45, who was helping him hang the flex suffered serious injuries in the mishap.

The incident took place on Friday, February 25 night when Prashant was hanging the flex for the temple festival, scheduled on February 26, with the help of another person identified as Sridhar Devadiga.

Tragically, the flex came in contact with a power line and both of them suffered an electric shock. While Prashant died in the mishap, Sridhar suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalised.
