Bengaluru: A case has been registered against a man in Bengaluru for allegedly threatening his wife with her obscene photos and demanding her ancestral property as dowry.

An FIR has been registered against Pragath (32) based on a complaint filed by his 26-year-old wife who is a resident of Lakkasandra.

It is said that the accused Pragath had asked his wife to divorce him and also demanded a share in her ancestral property.

Pragath had married the complainant in 2015 and had taken a huge amount of dowry. A few months after the wedding he started harassing his wife for money. Her parents then gave him additional Rs 40 lakh.

But Pragath again started beating the woman and pestered her to get more dowry from her family.

The complainant said that Pragath had clicked her nude pictures and videos of her without her knowledge. He threatened to upload these explicit videos and pictures on social media if she did not bring more dowry.
