Kolar: Posing as CBI officers five men rob 1 kg gold and Rs 20 lakh cash

Kolar: Five robbers posing as CBI officers raided a house in Kolar on Monday and decamped with 1 kg gold and Rs 20 lakh cash.

The complainant, Ramesh, former president of APMC said that around 8.30 pm five men entered his house claiming to be CBI officers and ran away with gold and cash.

It is said that the accused locked Ramesh and his wife in the puja room and snatched their phones. When questioned, they took out a gun and threatened the couple.

The thieves then searched the entire house for nearly an hour and ran away with 1 kg gold and Rs 20 lakh cash.

Police officials reached the spot and conducted an inspection. CCTV footages that showed thieves entering the house were also retrieved.
