Udupi: Father-daughter duo killed in horrific accident at Santhekatte

Udupi: A young woman and her father were killed in a horrific accident at Santhekatte in the early hours of Wednesday, March 2.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Pai and his daughter Gayathri Pai.

It is gathered that Gayathri had arrived from Hubli and Ganesh Pai had come to pick her up on a motorbike. When they were on their way home, a KSRTC bus that was moving towards Udupi rammed into the two-wheeler.

In the accident, Gayathri was killed on the spot, while her father Ganesh sustained serious injuries died later at the hospital.

A case has been registered at the Udupi Traffic police station.
