Kundapura: Leopard sighted prowling in Hombadi; Locals panic

Kundapura: Locals of Hombadi-Mandadi gram Panchayat spotted a leopard prowling in the Gopalkrishna Nagar area on Tuesday night.
Ramesh Poojary, who was driving a car with his friends, saw the leopard crossing the road, and hiding behind a compound wall nearby. He also clicked pictures of the animal.
The sighting of the powerful big cat so close to human habitation has created panic among locals.
Zonal forest officer Prabhakar Kulal told Udayavani that the department has received no information about the sighting. He assured to gather information and take suitable action to relocate the animal.
