M’luru: Prostitution racket busted in Bendorewell; 3 arrested

Mangaluru: A prostitution racket, running in the upscale locality of Bendorewell here, was busted by the city crime branch (CCB) police on Tuesday, March 1. Three persons, including two women, were arrested for flesh trade, reports said.

K P Hameed (54)  of Vitlapadnur, Anupama Shetty (46) of Akashabhavana, and Nishmitha (23) of Kulkunda Subramanya were booked for the prostitution racket at the PEEBI residency in Bendorewell.

Four girls were reportedly rescued in the operation. Police also confiscated a Maruti 800 car, five mobile phones, and Rs 50,000 cash from the accused.

A case has been registered in the Mangaluru East police station in this regard.
