The picture has also gone viral on Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit. Netizens’ hearts have been crushed by the photo.
In the meantime, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for direct discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, claiming that this is the “only way to end this war.”
Since Russia’s invasion last week, Ukraine claims at least 350 civilians have been dead.
Despite overwhelming proof to the contrary, Moscow insists it does not target civilian areas.
According to the United Nations, one million refugees have fled Ukraine in the week since Russia’s incursion.
