A student of a college in Koramangala here allegedly jumped to death from the terrace of a paying guest accommodation near Domlur bridge on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Bhavya, 19, a native of Kolar.

Passersby informed the police about the body, who then identified and contacted her parents based on her ID card.

According to a DHNS report, Bhavya had called her sister on Friday afternoon and told her that had been debarred from her college after she was caught cheating in the exam. She reportedly also said that she planned to end her life. Bhavya, however, did not leave any suicide note.

A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police. An investigation is ongoing.
