Udupi: Woman alleges husband divorced her using banned ‘Triple Talaq’; Husband claims wife has affair

Udupi: A man who was recently accused of harassing his wife and divorcing her using triple talaq has denied all the allegations.
The woman named Shehnaz had filed a complaint at the Udupi Women’s police station alleging that Mohammed Yusuf, whom she had married 15 years ago unlawfully divorced her using triple talaq.
Speaking to the media, Mohammed Yousuf said that his wife having an illicit relationship with a man named Shariff. He also said that he is not married to any other woman and said that he was not in Udupi on the day she claimed that he gave her talaq.
He further claimed that Shariff had threatened to kill him and that his wife had once given him talaq over the phone. Yusuf said he had given Rs 70 lakh to Shehnaz.
In her complaint, Shehnaz had sought legal action against her husband Yusuf, along with Altaf, Siraj, Aisha, Nafisa, Hasan, and Zeenat.
