Arecanuts, coconuts, and other materials stored in a shed at Soorambail farm near Uppinangady here were gutted in a fire.
The incident was reported from a farm belonging to Soorambail Shantharam Bhat.
Reportedly 30 bags of arecanuts, 2,000 coconuts and other materials were stored in the shed when the fire broke out. The shed too was completely damaged in the incident. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 6 lakh.
