Mangaluru: Mayor resolves to waive penalty on water bills

Mangaluru: City mayor Premananda Shetty on Thursday said that penalty on water bills will be waived off as there are several mistakes in the bills issued to the people due to the faulty software.

Premananda Shetty presided over a meeting that was held in the auditorium of the city corporation on Thursday, March 10.

He said, “There are several mistakes in the water bills issued to the people due to the faulty software. We need to create suitable software for this purpose. Also, the officials can contact Diya systems to either undertake improvements in the old software or create a new one to generate water bills.”

Corporation commissioner Akshy Sridhar, Deputy commissioners Ravikumar and Ganeshan R, Executive engineer Suresh and others were present.
