Bengaluru: A youth, riding on a motorbike, was killed after falling into a pit dug at a road in Muneshwar Layout in MS Palyam on Sunday night.

The victim, Ashwin (27) who worked for a private company, fell into a pit dug by the water board at a road in Muneshwar layout. The relatives of the youth alleged that the negligent road works without proper signage by the water board led to the accident.

Police, however, claimed that the youth was drunk driving and was not wearing a helmet. They further added that a medical report on the matter is awaited.

A complaint has been registered at the Yelahanka Traffic Police Station.
