Bengaluru: 14-year-old crushed to death by speeding truck while crossing road

Bengaluru:  A speeding truck crushed a 14-year-old girl who was on her way home from school in Hebbal, Bengaluru on Monday, March 21.

The deceased has been identified as Akshaya. The accident took place when she was crossing the road along with other pedestrians and a BBMP garbage truck mowed her down.

The underpass located in front of Hebbal police station was flooded after Sunday night’s downpour and the pedestrians were forced to walk on the main road.

Eight others who have been injured in the accident are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
