MCC to deliver birth, death certificates at doorstep

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Monday launched a scheme that will deliver birth and death certificates at the doorsteps of applicants through the India Post.
The service was launched by Mayor Premananda Shetty and is joint initiation of the department of Post Mangaluru zone and MCC.
One will have to submit a separate application at the birth and death application counter of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) and pay the fixed fee of Rs 100 at the time of delivery of certificates.
The certificate will be printed by MCC within 3 to 30 days and will be delivered within 4 to 5 days. Also, the applicants will receive regular SMS alerts from booking to delivery.
