Kundapur: Man killed after pole falls on him

Kundapur: A 58-year-old man was killed after a pole that he was erecting for a pandal fell on him at Hosangadi’s Anagallibailu on Monday, April 4.

The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Bhandarkar.

As per reports, the mishap took place as the pole, being erected by Bhandarkar was not properly balanced and slipped. Bhandarkar tried to grasp the pole but fell to the ground in the process and the pole landed on his neck.

A critically injured Bhandarkar was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Amasebailu police filed a case in this connection.
