Bengaluru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah on Monday said that the BJP has become a lie-manufacturing machine and is just making false promises to mislead the voters.
He was speaking during the protest held at Freedom Park in Bengaluru over the hike in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders by the central government.
Siddaramaiah said, ” Modi government has increased the prices of diesel, petrol, and gas. This is becoming a financial burden on the common people. During the Manmohan Singh government, the BJP government would hold protests even if there was a slight rise in the price.”
“There have been several PMs in India after independence but I haven’t seen a liar like PM Modi. Dear Modi, Did your acche din come? When we question the fuel price hike, the central government says that the international prices are high. Didn’t the international price soar during the Manmohan Singh government? During the Manmohan Singh government, the petrol rate was Rs 68, and the diesel rate was 46. Now, the petrol costs around Rs 113,” he added.
