Udupi: Prashanth Patil, brother of contractor Santhosh Patil who died in an apparent suicide, said that the family will not accept his mortal remains until the accused in the case are arrested.
Talking to reporters in the city, Prashanth said the family demands justice for Santhosh’s death. ” We have fully cooperated with the police for investigation. However, no arrests have been made so far. The (police) department should also cooperate and arrest the accused,” he said.
“We have already appealed to the Chief Minister for delivering justice. There’s no response from the government so far. I have told them the truth. All I want is justice for my brother’s death,” he added.
Meanwhile, police conducted a forensic search at the hotel room and Sathosh’s car parked in front of the hotel in Udupi.
Santhosh’s death has kicked up a political row in the state, with the opposition demanding the arrest and ouster of minister KS Eshwarappa.
