Gundlupet: Bike catches fire, rider dies in horrific accident

Gundlupet: A head-on collision between a motorbike and a car on National Highway here claimed the life of the bike rider on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as George Kutty James (30) of Kannur in Kerala.
The accident occurred on the National Highway-766 near the ITI College Road in Begur Taluk, sources said.
James was riding the Royal Enfield bike towards Mysuru from Gundlupete when an oncoming car rammed into him. Due to the impact, James was killed on the spot. The bike also caught fire soon after and was completely gutted.
The occupants of the car — Shekhar and Soundarya from Kanakapura — also sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to a hospital in Mysuru.
The mortal remains have been shifted to Begur Government Hospital.
A case has been registered at the Begur Police station.
