PSI exam fraud: CID nabs 2 more accused; Total arrests reaches 12

Bengaluru / Kalaburagi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two more persons, including an aspirant who wrote the exam at the Gyan Jyoti School, in the PSI recruitment fraud case. With this, the total number of arrests has risen to 12.

The arrested have been identified as Viresha Shiroor and Sharanabassappa.

Viresha had appeared for the exam at the Gyan Jyoti English medium school exam center in Kalaburagi. While, Shrabassappa had aided another accused, Annayya Hiyali Desai, a gunman of MLA M Y Patil who was arrested on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the alleged mastermind of the case and the president of Gyan Jyoti School, Divya Hagargi, and the school’s principal Kashinath are still absconding.
