PSI recruitment scam: Another aspirant arrested for cheating

Kalaburagi: The CID team, hunting for suspects in the PSI recruitment fraud, has arrested another accused.

Sunil Kumar, an aspirant whose name features in the reserve selection list, has been arrested for cheating in the exam, police said.

Police said Sunil received answers from the kingpin R D Patil with the help of a Bluetooth headset. Like many others, Sunil also appeared for the exam at the Gyan Jyoti English Medium School, run by the main accused Divya Hagaragi.

Sunil had been a person of interest in the scam and had earlier been grilled by the CID sleuths. He was brought to Bengaluru for further questioning, sources said.

With this, the number of arrests in the PSI recruitment cheating case has risen to 16.
