Kannada language is supreme in Karnataka: CM Bommai

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday said that the Kannada language is supreme in Karnataka and that no other language can its place in the state.
Talking about his recent Delhi visit, Bommai said, ” I will be leaving for Delhi tonight. I have to attend a conference of the Chief Ministers and Chief Justices there and the day after that I will be coming back to Bengaluru. Hence, I do not think I will have the time to discuss the cabinet extension.”
Also, responding to a question on the PSI recruitment scam, he said,” We were the ones who noticed the irregularities in the PSI recruitment exam. We also ordered a CID inquiry and the accused has also been arrested. Strict action will be taken against them. We do not entertain any kind of irregularities in the PSI recruitment exam,” he added.
