Mangaluru: Yellow alert issued for coastal region

Mangaluru: Forecasting thunderstorms and rainfall, the meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for coastal regions of the state on May 1.

As per the forecast, moderate rainfall is expected in the coastal region over next 3-4 days.

On Saturday, Mangaluru recorded the highest temperature of 35.2 deg C and minimum temperature of 26 deg C. The rains are likely to give the residents a respite from the scorching heat.
