Bengaluru: A 27-year-old woman murdered her husband while he was asleep at home in Yashwantpur, Bengaluru.
The accused Dilli Rani and her lover allegedly hatched and executed a plan to kill her husband Shankar Reddy, who worked for a private company as an accountant.
Rani allegedly told the police officials that a random intruder killed Reddy and also attacked her leaving her unconscious.
However, police officials did not believe her and launched an investigation. It was later found that Rani killed her husband by stabbing him in the neck from the back while he was asleep. She then cut herself using the same knife and pretended to be unconscious.
The children who saw them lying in a pool of blood informed the neighbors and Rani ‘regained consciousness’ before the police could arrive.
When interrogated, Rani confessed to the crime and also revealed her lover’s identity. Police officials have launched a manhunt for the accused.
