Bengaluru: Member of Parliament and BJP Karnataka State President Nalin Kumar Kateel said that only BJP gives the opportunity for a common man to reach the highest positions of power.
“The BJP is the party that showed that a boy who sold tea could become the Prime Minister. Amit Shah, who was the booth-level president, is the Union Home Minister today,” he said addressing the gathering at BJP office during the Yuva Morcha’s Executive Meeting here on Sunday.
“A common man from the village became the BJP’s state president, elected MP thrice. This is only possible in the BJP,” he said in reference to his own journey.
He expressed his confidence about winning the upcoming state assembly elections. “Under the guidance of Yeddyurappa, Bommai will win the next election. Many leaders from Congress and the JDS are knocking on our (BJP) door. There are too many who want to be included in the party,” he said. He also defended “Operation Kamala” as a necessity for gaining power in the state.
Further, Kateel alleged that Siddaramaiah ran the government using the “drug money” and added that BJP government “made Karnataka drug free.”
