Vijayapura: The ‘Bhajan’ and ‘Suprabhata’ campaign opposing the Azaan on loudspeakers has started. Just before sunrise on Monday, pro-Hindu activists chanted the bhajans on loudspeakers at the Maradi Basaveshwara Temple on Jamakhandi Road in Vijayapur.
The youth who participated in the bhajan campaign said that they will continue the daily recital until the Supreme Court’s order is implemented and Azaan on loudspeakers is stopped.
Tumkur: After the call by Sri Ramaa Sene founder Pramod Muthalik for chanting Hanuman Chalisa during the Azaan time, the activists of the organization held a Hanuman Chalisa recital at the Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Pavagada here at 5 AM on Monday.
There was a heavy police presence to avoid any untoward incident.
