Bengaluru: Amid the Azaan versus Hanuman Chalisa row in the state, a Congress delegation on minorities led by MLA UT Khader met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday.
After the visit, UT Khader issued a statement saying that most people in the state want peace and communal harmony. However, some powers are trying to create unrest. The government should take action to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. “We held a discussion with the CM in this regard,” he said.
The chief minister has promised that suitable action would be taken, Khader said and added the delegation was told that the government will make rules on noise pollution as per the court order and will be applied uniformly to all.
