Kasaragod: Police have issued a lookout notice for the owner of the Ideal Cool Restaurant in Chervathoor in connection with the death of a student due to food poisoning.
A lookout notice has been issued in the name of Chandera’s Pilavalap Kunhi Hamad, police said.
It may be recalled that a 16-year-girl lost her life after eating shawarma at the eatery. Several others, who had allegedly consumed shawarma from a popular eatery Ideal Food Point Cool Bar in Chervathur on April 30, had also fallen ill. As many as 14 persons had complained of vomiting, stomach ache, diarrhea, and fever, according to some media reports.
So far, police have arrested three accused in the case. However, the owner of the restaurant is still absconding.
