Bantwal: Woman suffering from depression dies by suicide

Bantwal: A young woman, who was suffering from depression, killed herself by jumping into a well at Kapikadu in Bondala here on May 13.
The deceased has been identified as Mallika (32), daughter of Nagaveni, a resident of Kalladka. She was currently living in a rented house in Bondala as her house in Kalladka is being renovated.
It is gathered that she jumped into the well near the rented house when she was alone at home. Mallika had been suffering from depression for the past 10 years and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mangaluru.
Her mother and elder sister did not find her home when they returned. Later her body was found in the well.
A case has been registered at the Bantwal City police station.
