Bengaluru: CID police, on Monday, arrested two more individuals, including a police inspector, in the PSI recruitment exam case.

Inspector G. Basavaraju of the CAR division in Bengaluru and PSI aspirant CM Narayana have been arrested. Both have been remanded to police custody, sources said.

As per CID sources, Basavaraju had received money from DySP Shanthakumar, who is already in detention, for helping candidates cheat.

Narayana had been absconding ever since a case had been registered against him at the High Grounds police station in the case.  His brother, C.M. Nagraj was arrested by the police a few days ago, sources added.

Meanwhile, CID officials have confiscated a car, immovable property, and other documents of one of the prime accused Manjunatha Melakundi, on Monday.

Sources added that CID officials have recovered some information about the scam from Kashinath, the head teacher of the Gyan Jyothi English Medium School. The sleuths also found evidence linking R D Patil and Divya Hagaragi to the scam.
