Bantwal: Police arrest trio for vehicle thefts, seizes a car, 2 motorcycles

Bantwal town police station personnel arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in vehicle thefts.

Siddik (27) and Sameer (23) from Beltangady, and Akbar (32) from Bantwal are the arrested persons. Police confiscated the stolen vehicles — two motorcycles and a car — found in their possession.

 

On April 23, the accused had lifted a parked motorcycle belonging to a railway staffer from Bantwal taluk B Muda railway station. The victim, Anoof had lodged a complaint with Mangaluru railway police in this regard.

Similarly, on April 27, the trio stole a motorcycle belonging to Mukesh from Manihalla, Kasba. Bantwal town police had lodged a case in this regard.

Police personnel under the guidance of district SP and additional district SP conducted the operation.
