Bantwal: Youth allegedly assaulted while returning home from work

‎Bantwal‎‎: A youth was allegedly assaulted by three unidentified youths at Kadegoli Gate near Farangipete on May 17 night.

The complainant, Nafil (18) of Rottigudde in Thumbe, said that the attack took place at around 11 pm on May 17 when he was returning home from work.

He had stopped his bike on the roadside to pick up a phone call when the three youths of the Kadegoli area tried to snatch his mobile phone. They assaulted him with a wooden pole, and issued death threats, the complaint said. The victim said he did not know the assailants, but could identify them.

Bantwal rural police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
