Mangaluru: A young saxophone artiste allegedly took her own life at her residence in Shakthinagar on Tuesday evening.

The deceased identified as Sujatha Devadiga (29), a native of Mulky, hanged herself at the flat where she lived with her husband, parents, and child.

She had retreated to the bedroom complaining of a headache. But when the family checked on her later, she was found hanging, police said.

Financial troubles seem to be the likely cause behind the extreme step, police added.

A case has been registered at the Kankanady Police Station in this regard.
