Bengaluru: Thieves dig hole into wall, loot jewellery shop

Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested a gang of burglars who dug a small tunnel and loot 5 kgs of gold from a jewellery shop in JP Nagar, Bengaluru.

The arrested accused have been identified as M Hussain (23), Manarullah Haq (30), Saifuddin Shaikh (36), Manarullah Sheikh (65), Suleiman Sheikh (49), Salim Sheikh (36), Ramesh Bistha (37), Zahoor Alam (28), Ajizur Rehman (28) Shainur Bibi (65),

1.1 kg gold worth Rs 55 lakh was seized from the accused.

It is said that the accused rented a flat near the jewellery shop using fake identity cards. They then dug a small tunnel and entered the shop. They stole 5 kgs of gold worth Rs 2.50 Cr from the locker.

A case was registered and the accused have now been arrested.
