Noted Konkani author CGS Taccode no more!

Mangaluru: Well-known Konkani author Cyril G Sequeira (CGS Taccode) passed away on Saturday, May 28 at the age of 71.

CGS was famous for his humorous writings, earning him the moniker ‘King of Konkani Humour’ literature.

Many of his writings including short stories,  poems, humorous articles, plays, translated works, religious works, edited works, etc. were published as books. Some of his famous novels included ‘Pattedarachem Sahas’, ‘Khunyegarachi Khun’, and ‘Sister Shobha’. CGS had also worked as the editor of several Konkani Magazines.

His literary contribution to the Konkani language and culture earned him several awards and prizes. Awards by the Konkani Basha Mandal, Goa, and Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy are notable among them.

CGS is survived by his wife and 2 children.
