PSI Recruitment scam: ADGP Amrit Paul does not appear for questioning

Bengaluru: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Amrit Paul, who was transferred after the PSI recruitment scam came to light, was a no-show for his scheduled interrogation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Friday.

He was questioned for more than 5 hours on Wednesday and Thursday by the CID in connection with the police sub-inspector recruitment scam.

He was asked to appear for questioning on Friday but Paul postponed the hearing citing personal reasons. Paul will be interrogated again on Monday.

The former police recruitment chief in Karnataka, Amrit Paul’s name surfaced after the arrest of P. Shantha Kumar, Dy. SP, key personnel in the police recruitment cell with a track record of 12 years in the cell.
