Bantwal: RSS chief Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat on Monday said that Muslims must peacefully hand over the Malali mosque land to Hindus to build a temple and a mosque can be built elsewhere.
Speaking to the reporters, Bhat said, “When the old mosque structure of the Assayid Abdulahil Madani Juma Masjid was being demolished, a wooden structure resembling a temple was discovered. Let us avoid violence and peacefully hand over the land to Hindus just like in Ayodhya. ”
“We are saddened by the fact that a Hindu temple was destroyed to build a mosque. During that time, the Hindus were scared and fleed from the area. But now the situation is different. We are not against any community. We must solve this issue peacefully,” he added.
Hitting back at SDPI, Bhat said,” It is clear that there was a temple-like structure at the mosque land. But SDPI claims that it is Arabian architecture and that they will not give even an inch of land to the Hindus. They should know that we will also not remain silent.”
