Udupi: Man uses sword to cut birthday cake; Three arrested

Udupi: Padubidri police officials have booked seven people including a rowdy sheeter for using a sword to cut the birthday cake. Three have been arrested in connection with the case.

The arrested accused have been identified as Jeethendra Shetty, Ganesh Poojary and Sharath Shetty. The rest of the accused Niranjan Shettigar, Tanuj, Sooraj and Anish are still absconding.

The incident occurred on May 30 when the gang celebrated the birthday of Niranjan Shettigar at the residence of rowdy sheeter Jeethendra Shetty. They allegedly used lethal weapons to cut the cake and posted photos and videos on social media.

Following this, police officials raided the house and arrested three persons.
